Hospital & Clinic Microscope Service in Houston
Preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation for every microscope in a hospital or clinic, from the core lab to the eye clinic, with support for your in-house biomed team.
Hospitals and clinics have microscopes in more places than most people realize: the core lab, pathology, microbiology, the ER, eye clinics, urgent care, and physician offices. Many of them fall between the cracks of a biomed PM schedule because they are not covered by a manufacturer contract. Sky Optical Services keeps them clean, aligned, and documented, on site and on your schedule.
What we service
Working with your biomed team
We work alongside in-house biomedical engineering, not around it. Many hospitals bring us in for the microscopes their team does not have the time or tooling to service, and we coordinate access, asset tags, and paperwork through biomed. We also offer hands-on training so your biomed technicians can handle routine microscope PM themselves, with a clear line between in-house care and specialist optical work.
Where we work
We provide on-site service across Greater Houston, including Houston, the Texas Medical Center, Sugar Land, Katy, Cypress, The Woodlands, Pearland, Pasadena, Clear Lake, and Baytown. Hospital systems with several campuses get a separate quote and schedule for each lab.
How to get a quote
Send a list of your microscopes and slit lamps with make, model, quantity, and location, and we will put together a preventive maintenance quote. If one instrument has a problem now, we can schedule an evaluation visit to diagnose it.
Common questions
Do you work with hospital biomed departments?
Yes. We coordinate through biomed for access, asset tags, and records, and we can train your biomed technicians on routine microscope PM.
Do you service slit lamps?
Yes. We clean and align slit lamps and other ophthalmic scopes in eye clinics, emergency departments, and physician offices.
Can you provide service records for accreditation?
Yes. Every instrument gets a service report suitable for your equipment history file and CAP or Joint Commission review.
Do you work with hospital systems that have several campuses?
Yes. Each lab gets its own equipment list, quote, and visit, so every site is scheduled around its own workload.
Can you provide vendor paperwork?
Yes. We are fully insured and can provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 for your vendor file.
How do I get a quote?
Send your equipment list with make, model, quantity, and location for a preventive maintenance quote, or request an evaluation visit if a specific instrument needs diagnosis.
