Veterinary Microscope Service and Repair in Houston

Cleaning, repair, and preventive maintenance for the microscopes veterinary teams use every day for cytology, blood smears, ear swabs, and fecal exams.

Sky Optical Services · (832) 819-1104 · support@skyopticalservices.com

In a busy veterinary practice the in-house microscope gets used all day by many hands. Immersion oil on the wrong objective, a dirty condenser, and a stage that no longer moves smoothly all add up to slower reads and missed detail. Sky Optical Services keeps clinic microscopes clear and reliable so your team can trust what they see.

What we see most in vet clinics

Oil on dry objectivesImmersion oil smeared onto the 40x is the most common cause of a hazy image. We clean it properly and show your team how to prevent it.
Haze and dirty opticsEyepieces, objectives, and condensers cleaned and checked, so cytology and blood smears look sharp again.
Mechanical wearStiff focus, drifting stages, and loose nosepieces adjusted or repaired.
Lighting problemsDim, flickering, or uneven illumination diagnosed and repaired.

How we work with clinics

We schedule around your appointment book and work on site. Every visit ends with a service report. For longer repairs we have a loaner microscope available for veterinary clients, so the practice is not left without a scope. When a microscope is not worth repairing, we can recommend a replacement as an Authorized Labomed Dealer.

Common questions

Why is my clinic microscope hazy at 40x?

The most common cause is immersion oil that has been smeared onto the 40x objective, which is a dry lens. It needs proper cleaning. Our oil immersion guide shows how to prevent it.

Do you offer a loaner microscope during repairs?

Yes. We have a loaner microscope available for veterinary clients when a repair takes the clinic scope out of service.

Do you service all brands of veterinary microscopes?

Yes, including Labomed, Nikon, Olympus, AmScope, Meiji, and others.

How often should a vet clinic microscope be serviced?

Once a year for most clinics. Clinics that use immersion oil daily often do better with a visit every six months.

Send your equipment list (make, model, and quantity) for a quote, or tell us what a specific microscope is doing and we'll schedule an evaluation.
